Yes. Just be sure if you are going to use it for any sort of business that you get a FAA ch. 107 certification (remote pilots license). Not required if you are only using for personal hobby.
The above answers are correct, but just so you know a good rule of thumb is to fly over your property, and the property of people who have directly agreed that it's ok. Also, it's a ticket in any state park including Picayune.
