You need to take the boardwalk out to the boat trolly. The boat takes you to the hotels private island beach.... Which is AWESOME.

Guests have exclusive access to our beach on the uninhabited Big Hickory Island, accessible only by boat. The beach is part of the Estero Bay Eco Preserve so sightings of dolphins, bald eagles, pelicans and migratory birds are frequent. The beach is also known as one of the best shell-collecting beaches in the region. Because of the protected habitat, there are no restaurants on the island. Resort guests are asked to bring food and beverage items with them and remove trash upon departure. Facilities at the beach include a large screened pavilion, restrooms, beach chairs and umbrellas. Nature guides and park rangers are available to answer questions. Our Island Excursion is included with your guestroom reservation for unlimited daily trips during your stay. Boat service is provided by All Water Excursions, the resort's watersports partner. The trip takes approx. 15 minutes from the resort's marina. A boardwalk or air-conditioned trolley transportation are ways to reach the marina.
