Police will allow you to stop in the center turn lane for a short time to see. The lights are visible from the street and there is a radio station to tune in the music. Check them out on YouTube to see more.
The parking isn't really ideal for someone elderly, unfortunately. If u can understand that the house where these wonderful lights are is in a suburban neighborhood and the road in front of the house is a 2 lane rd, that is constantly busy even during normal times of the year. It sits by a curve but, around Christmas time ppl do drive slower around that curve. Alot of ppl usually park on the side of the road, but when u get there, most of those places will b full already, I'm not sure what the best time to go and the best time for parking there is at the same time. There is a huge parking lot, down by the corner of crystal springs and chaffee, however its definitely not a short walk or really safe to bring and elderly person to walk on. I don't believe there is a sidewalk in between. Just drive over and ask someone if u can squeeze in to the side of the road, due to having an elderly person with u. Or just drive by slowly a few times. That's what most ppl do. Good luck.
