Are they sure they were at the same DennysResturant? There three or four Dennys on 192 ?.every one in the one we go to are all very nice and usually don't have to wait long for food unless very busy.
Here's a quick story about that particular Dennys. I ordered poached eggs on toast. They didn't know what I was talking about. After a long discussion about what poached eggs are and what toast is they came back to me with an egg sandwich! I finally got my poached eggs on Post them they didn't know how to charge me for it they had to call the manager he had to figure out whether they should just charge me for an exam which or charge me for 2 eggs over easy with post on the side anyway it ended up being $6.35. I went back the next morning and ordered the same thing because I'm a sucker for punishment went through the same rigmarole got my poached eggs on toast eventually this time it was 9:50!
Dennys quality has gone down and staff has large attitudes. And the staff need to pull their minds together and quit being flustered. All i can say is write the reviews on trip advisor.
