I recently purchased the new 2019 Nissan Altima. My new car came with a warranty by the manufacturer, which is only 3 years. I also bought a bumper to bumper extended warranty for 6 years because of the electronics and equipment for this vehicle. This is where most dealers make their money so you need to know beforehand what the manufacturer's warranty covers and how long and the costs for an extension. Certified cars usually come with a warranty by the dealer or if it has remaining warranty from manufacturer but you need to check it out before buying. I usually go to the service department and check the prices for vehicle repairs.
New car definitely comes with the factory warrantly while used it all depwnds whether the car is certified by the dealer or not.... thats a questiom you have to ask at the dealer before making a purchase on a used vehicle
