You need to get a DD214. Take the death certificate and what branch of service person was in to the Fresno VA to the records department. Should be able to obtain the DD214 from there.

Or go to tulare county veteran services in vialia and they can do leg work. If that doesn't work go to county clerk where induction took place and county clerk should be able to get you certified copy of dd214
