Do they examine pet rats?

Yes they examine rats! They're loving and good with rats, unlike some vets who don't seem to take small animals as seriously as bigger/longer-lived animals. I've been to 4 or 5 places with my rats, and this and Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital in Thousand Oaks (open 24 hrs) are the ones I'd recommend. ACCESS Specialty in Culver City is insanely expensive (like 10x more when we had an emergency), so worth the drive to Thousand Oaks for excellent exotics emergency care when Avian & Exotic in Hawthorne in closed. VCA just isn't as good, they didn't seem to know about rats even though they have exotics vets, and it's also a bit more expensive.
