Short drive 5-10 minutes. I would suggest taking the free shuttle. Stop 9 is directly in front of the lodge and it takes you to the park. It runs about every 10 to 15 minutes. They have a couple of hikes from the the park entrance. One is the watchman and pi'rus ( not sure of spelling). They are both a little over a mile. Watchman has good views of the watchman mountain. Major landmark angels landing is very strenuous. The narrows would be good (if open) you can walk as far as you like. Weeping rock would be a great choice its really short. When you get to the park they will give you a paper with all the hikes and descriptions.
5 - 15 minutes depending on traffic. Beginning March 9th, the town shuttle will be running. This shuttle system allows you to stay parked at the hotel and use the tram to get the visitor's center. They run every 10 - 15 minutes.
The drive is only about 5 to 10 minutes. And remember that the shuttle service is seasonal. Peak season is summer time with more schedule options. Fall winter and spring have less schedule options and sometimes the shuttle only runs on weekends. But in the off-season parking is not a problem in the park. The shuttle picks up at most or all of the hotels in Springdale. But if you are staying farther away you will have to pay for parking in Springdale. I saw signs for $15 or $20 parking lots and I'm not sure if that's per day or per hour. There is also paid metered parking on the streets. I came on March 1st and enjoyed the fact that there were no crowds or lines. There was only a little bit of snow left in the higher elevations. And it was not a problem. I think there is a shuttle stop parking lot down by hurricane or St George, but I'm not sure.
10 minutes drive. And only 1 hour away from Bryce national park
Taking 2 young kids, is there a long hike to main landmarks?
