Good Morning I would like to know, If I only owe my landlord 200 dollars can he take me to court and make me pay legal fees? If so what happens to my security deposit?

The landlord cannot use the secirity deposit for back rent. But u can. I did it. SD can only be used for damages.

Yes,and the landlord can make any excuse to keep your SD in NJ. Pay the 200.00 asap. Tenants have very little rights after u sign that lease.
