I'm mexican and haven't gotten rude service here. It might depend on the server, did you catch their name? If it happens often then finding another IHOP is best
Not all IHOPs are the same. We went to two while in SLC. Totally different. I would leave. There is another one around the corner.
Some people can be rude and careless just go to a different IHOP
