Yes, you can live in your house while it is being painted. I stayed home all the time when Extra care custom painting was painting it. After they were done, my home was unrecognizable because it was looking like a castle.
When a house gets painted, depending on how much the prep work is, there will always be dust and paint smells, we always mask properly, but there will be always be some dust flying everywhere. Some people are ok with the smell of paint and some dust, but some are not. if you are sensitive to smells and or you have asma, i would advise, not to.
