Hi Shellie, it will probably be between $200-$300; we price our dogs primarily on life expectancy. However, if the adopter is over 60 years of age, we do give a $50 discount for dogs 2 years and older thanks to our partnership with Pets for the Elderly.
Get a gard dog instead not a ankle bighter
We paid $200 for our Chihuahua. Which including her dental work and everything else.
The adoption prices, from what I'm told, are based on the age and condition of the dog. Younger dogs are at the higher end of the pricing spectrum...up to $300 at this particular shelter. Other shelters in the area go up to $450. I've noticed that the only small breeds available for adoption in this region tend to be chihuahuas and chihuahua mixes, for some reason.
The adoption prices vary sometimes. The fees I've seen in the big dogs is 300-350. It may be less for a smaller dog.
