Can a husband accompany his stage 4 breast cancer wife to talk to the doctor when treatment is discussed with her? He was told he cannot be there because of covid and must rely on what his wife tells him. Thank you.

If it's during visiting hours you can be there; otherwise it's on the phone. You could ask the doctors to schedule a family meeting where you and children could be involved.

Based on the visitor restrictions currently in place ( can be seen here: https://upstate.ellucid.com/documents/view/10807/?security=733cdfc20f0d8397c17968d4bd8edfd3a01ce529 ) It states: "Meetings for discussion of basic medical decision making family members will be asked to participate by phone from home."

I was told I could have one person with me. I am currently receiving radiation treatment. I was there yesterday and several patients had people with them.
