Agreed, I wouldn't recommend any of these trails for handicap, seniors, or anyone with difficulty using stairs or traversing slippery, wet surfaces.
No
South trails are easier walking but there are stairs, Indian trail is a good by pass around many of the 800 steps of the normal trail. Unfortunately difficult to navigate for disabilities as trails narrow and numerous steps. Same for info for families with small children, error on the cautious side...
South trails will be benifit for seniors very low steps and I will not recommend for handicapped sorry to say this word.
The Indian trail is shorter and not as steep they also alow dogs on this trail. It make for an easier trip while still allowing you to see all the sites
I'm a senior and I think the south side trails are good. No stairs.
You can take a very short walk from parking to start of trail, it's maybe 1/4 a mile before the stairs start. There are 800+ steps so this is not accessible at all.
