I need to change my name but do not have current drivers license yet just the paper copy, can I bring the court order and the paper copy of my DL?

You can use the temp driver's license but they do prefer the regular one. Yes, take your court orders as well. If you have a piece of mail that has been mailed to you in the new name (matching the court order) it might be a good idea to take it as well. Also I would suggest if you have any other items such as a bank card, credit card with a picture id on it, take it as well, especially if you don't have your permanent driver's license.

Marriage license would work and if I was you I would wait til I got my regular drivers license then. Or you can get online to change your last name
