Do I go to the office to report a death or is their a number I can call?

I've called & called. Can't even leave a number or name. When you lose a loved one you certainly don't need to waste your time by calling again and again and again and.... If I'm to call Social Security to report a death then their system should at least be caring enough to receive a short message. Mary Davis Wichita KS

You have to get the death certificate in the mail first after you apply for it then you take it up to the Social Security office and hand it to them.
