3D has the video pop out of screen during scenes to make it seem as though the video is coming out at you. XD is a form of high definition Clarity for video and sound
Either one is more expensive.
Sir bob gave a great description of 3D & the sound system but failed to mention that huge giant screen. That's the whole thing for me! 3D would be nothing for me without the larger screen in the special XD viewing room. I love it the most
