I think it depends on the event.
Yes alcohol is allowed at certain events. If the event is public you have to have a permit through the DABC to serve either an open bar or cash/card bar. If the event is private the Clubhouse provides bartenders to serve an open bar, alcohol provided by you. To serve a cash/card bar a DABC permit is required, even at a private event.
