When I was growing up in Jamaica Queens back in the late eighties and early 1990s there was a Jamaica savings bank on the corner of 161st on Jamaica avenue back in the day but its long gone and its been gone for almost 29 years now . There have been a few low price urban store that have come and go in that spot since the bank closed.
