Hello Ms. Garza. My apologies for taking so long to get back to you but I needed to make sure that the information I gave you was correct. Yes, each family gets their own room, we have a dorm with 10 bedrooms in it. There's also a very long large shared common area with sofas for them to sit outside the rooms if they care to congregate. They are allowed to bring certain food items of their own and the list for those items is kept inside the dorm so that they are informed as to what is permitted. The only food preparation allowed is a bowl of cereal if they choose to bring their own cereal for their children. This helps control any situations with bugs. We have a large cafeteria where the families and the women are fed together breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals there are nutritious, they contain all the food groups, and there are always snacks, desserts and fresh fruit and or vegetables. available. Directly outside the family dorm there is also a playground.
Nobody answers the phone, what kind of place is this for help?what's the process for 1 male 48years ol very disabled and on disability? Do I get my own room too plus I have sleep apnea?
Call them to find out the process of getting into program
You can always call them and ask.
Families have their own dorm and individual room. The regular dorms couldn't bring anything but water in, I don't know about the family dorm.
