They do a lot of live music. I think you can have a conversation but it might depend on the night. First date, I wouldn't, but if you're a few dates in it'd be a fun place.
It is pretty loud. If you sit in the other room away from the music you might be ok

karaoke can b a lil loud but there r quieter places in the bar not near the speakers/stage...
