Received a call saying my SS# has been involved in criminal activity and if I didn't call back, my SS# was going to be cancelled. Has this happened?

Government offices never communicate by phone unless you call them. They always mail out notices about stuff like that.

Totally scam. SS never calls you unless you ask for a call. I received the same type of call. SS said they never call you unless you have asked for a call. Total fraudulent activity. Don't call them back or give any information. SS will not cancel your number.
