Why can't you fish anywhere besides the marina? I thought paying for a NC inland fishing license meant I could bank fish on a lake. I'm willing to pay the 2 dollar fee at the marina but I do not wish to fish at a crowded area and that place is PACKED

I think you can rent a boat and fish off of it and I don't know but I know City lake lets you fish off the bank in different spots I don't know why it's a problem at the marina

City water lake, bank fishing in other than cement areas would kill vegetation at the lakes edge therefore causing erosion.

It's a city watershed lake...anywhere other than the designated area specified...the city owns the 1st 15 feet from the waters edge...

YOU CAN FISH OFF THE BANK ANY WHERE EXCEPT BOAT LAUNCH AND THE CEMENT ARE BY THE OFFICE.

They don't want you to fish off the other area across the Lake because it's used by the School for the CREW team...? It would cause crowding and it's dangerous because there are now boundaries for safe fishing...is what I was told. If you notice on the alotted Marina area, you are not allowed to fish off the boat and Kanoe entries as well.

Rules are rules, but the reason for fishing anywhere but at the marina (or the campground, if you have a site), eludes me. One can also fish off of a boat.

At oak hallow Lake you gotta have a boat to fish outside the marina.
