As formentioned by my fellow GUIDES, all these are part of the protocol of the AWA. Did you ponder of adopting. I have three: one adopted, one given, and one that I bumped into by mistake coming out from under a car. The best advice has been given to you correctly from other lovers if our animals. Touche Comrades for you excellent advice.

They don't take in strays to be adopted out. You must be the owner of the animal for at least 2 weeks before they'll take in the animal for adoption. I just went through this with a stray kitten that followed me home.

Yes you can bring in strays to be rreated etc. They can also tell you how old they are and develop a care plan etc.

Yes. I would give them a call first though.
