Is it appropriate to get a second opinion and evaluation on a wound that is not healing properly from a surgery 5 weeks ago? Presently under the surgeon's care.

PLEASE call South Shore Wound Ctr. Dr. O'Gorman currently treating my husband and cannot say enough about both he and the entire Center staff. Even if the wound is progressing normally (although honestly, does not sound like it) a second opinion is always the right choice. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you. Be thinking of you!

David , not only is it appropriate, it is critical. I was told by doctors at Beth Israel, NE Baptist and St. Elizabeth's that they had to amputate my leg due to a foot wound. Dr . Thomas Lyons at South Shore Wound Care healed my wound and i saved my leg. Please contact Dr. Lyons on Monday they will help you. The sooner the better. PM me if I can help you
