They don't need your social security at all. They don't even ask you about it. I've been going for so many years and that never happened to me. If someone is asking you for that, they should be scammers. Be careful!
That has NEVER happened to me and I've been going for 30 years. If someone is asking for your SSN they are scammers and you need to tell the nearest police officer or security guard.
