I bought a new car and am I waiting on new plates. The temp plate expired and now I can't drive to work. Is this supposed to be the process? When can I expect my new plates and registration?

You should keep the temporary plates on your car until the new ones arrive. In the meantime, fill out this form so that a supervisor can track down your plate transaction. http://www.dmv.ri.gov/feedback/ Include the registration number and the address where the vehicle is registered.
