If you plan to transfer your license plates from an old car to the newly purchased car, you can do that. You will have 90 days from the purchase date to formally make the switch by registering the new car with us. Keep a copy of the bill of sale with you when you drive. Police are aware of this change in the regulation and will not ticket you if you are stopped for some reason.

You won't be able to get in the Registry without an appointment. I made my appointment 2 weeks ahead of time
