I moved out of RI and want to cancel my registration and turn in my plates and title. How do I go about doing that

You can cancel your registration online at www.dmv.ri.gov Choose the Online Services tab in the upper right of the home page and follow the prompts. Please note, if you are keeping the vehicle, you should keep the title for your own records. You will need it to sell or dispose of the vehicle.

You can dropped it off at the DMV with out make appointment. Just fill out the form after few days they sent you a letter
