You can absolutely fish on the banks of the CT river. There are small ponds but probably not much in there.
You cant fish it's a refuge
Fishing there is harmful to the wild life. There was a goose missing part of its top beak due to a fishing hook. Someone found hooks on the ground also the litter they leave behind.
