It is a very quick walk -- just make sure you take the ferry to Oak Bluffs and not Vineyard Haven! If you take the ferry to Vineyard Haven, it's about a 10 minute drive.
It's 0.4 miles. My wife and I have been coming here for the last 5 years. We love visiting this time of year. We usually spend 3 to 4 nights and cary a 27" roller (luggage) each.

I walked. Depending on the amount of luggage you had, it's not too bad. The walk in about 5 minutes I believe. Maybe a little more
