You could try applying water or saliva to the faster burning area to slow it down. Definitely sucks when a cigar runs, but it happens.
If you are having a bad cigar, we will be more than happy to replace it. Please keep on mind we are making and keeping our cigar fresh. That could be a reason of why your cigar could not be burning even, moisture may still be present inside your cigars. Thank you.
My favorite are the Mistakes, their own brand. I like the Gordos, 60x5-1/2. They stay lit while you walk away to the fridge. They burn even and once in a while, will burn uneven, but that that often you will get one. Great flavor and always consistent. I bought a box of them earlier this month. Yes, burning uneven, there are many factors. Bought a box of other brand and the whole box, I had to suck on which gave no taste. Too tightly pressed and compacted.
I feel your pain. It happens to me occasionally too. Sometimes cutting off the uneven burning part and relighting will help. I had cigars that I had to toss as nothing helped- just couldn't keep it burn right. I did check online for " cigars burning uneven " - it seems it can be either bad construction by the cigar roller at the factory or uneven moisture content of the tobacco leaves in the body of the cigar. It's always a hit and miss with most cigars. Or just could be a bad batch. Proper storing and the right humidity helps too. And crossing fingers when lighting up -slowly and evenly burning the foot of the cigar. Hope your next batch will be enjoyable and without problems...
