I found animalkind only once in awhile fosters dogs, My puggle who adopted me was from perfect pets. If it's a senior dog [over 7 yo I believe] they offered a reduced adop- tion fee. Most rescues and animal shelters do. Puppies are the most expen- sive unless you come across what's called a courtesy posting where sites like pet- finder or Paws, [there are several], where people are looking for a good home for their babies and while there may be an adoption fee, it doesn't go to the pet owner, it goes to the rescue that is posting the adoption notice. That adoption fee is substantially less that what a puppy's adop- tion fee usually is. Puppies seem to have fees between $350 to $600+. I've seen the courtesy postings fee being around $150 to $300. I really liked perfect pets because they brought my puggle to my house because I was recover- ing from surgery and when I had another surgery a couple yrs later, they were more then happy to find Gigi a new home if anything happened to me
They don't have dogs and I think would be a lot less than a hundred and twenty to adopt a cat I had my cat there for 5 days medicine every day and when I left they gave me five injections to bring home before him and they only charged me $25 but if you're looking for a dog the best places to Hudson Humane Society on Route 66
They are primarily a cat facility however dogs come through every now and then but usually stay with a foster. I would recommend calling tomorrow between 12-4 when they are open for more in-depth information. I wouldnt say more than $120 though...
