I believe their billing system is generated by percentage not individually. Meaning if apartment A uses 30 gallons in a week and apartment B uses 15 gallons in a week the amount is divided between the two apartments getting an average. In my opinion I shouldn't be charged for someone else's water usage. Charge me for what I use only. This has been an issue since I moved here 2 years ago. I travel a lot so my water bill should be very low and even if I didn't travel because I live by myself. I like the area but The Amalfi owners Richmond properties makes their rules randomly and you can never get a straight answer from their staff they change employees more then the temperature changes unbelievable

Hi Patricia! A local water main leak would not affect resident billing. The city manages water for all public locations, while our community has separate metering from the city. We are sorry to hear that your bill has increased, and we'd be happy to discuss this concerns with you further. Feel free to reach out to our office directly at your convenience. Have a great day! I just moved from there. I think the meter is on the side of most the buildings. But it's good you don't drink the water there it's not very good. We had it tested, and the testing company said you shouldn't drink it regularly high levels of something. The apartments put a softener or something on it after that but I still wouldn't drink it.

Apparently that is a very common issue there. Good luck with the water department tomorrow!
