I think the answer depends on your generation - what I mean by that is that what "quiet" means to folks in their 50s & 60s is very different than what a twentysomething-year old might feel. Every time I have been to Firefly, it has been to relax with a few friends, and all we wanted was to chat. I am in my 60s, so if a geezer like myself can handle it...you get the idea. Anyone who doesn't feel comfortable with the soft buzz of a crowded restaurant most likely grew up in a cloistered environment!
We were there Tuesday after Labor Day weekend. It was very quiet. But I see the propensity to be loud. Not great acoustics.
It's not quiet.
Is not a quiet place, but you don't have to shout to have a conversation.
Our table did, though we were probably the loudest in the restaurant. It wasn't peaceful but by no means a racket. Quiet enjoyable.
