If I would bring in a laptop and old phone is there anything that I need to do prior to bringing it in?

We dont take phones but there is a phone shop across the way. As far as a labtop bring the charger probadly have your password written down on a slip of paper and think of a price you would like to reach. We decline giving appraisals until we physically see said item. Thank you!!!
