The smaller airboat seats 6 is fast and does drifting and 180 turns. Larger party style boats are more for touring around and much slower. More suitable for sure. Swamp buggy is great for a kid...
Take him on a few theme park rides first to assess suitability.
Was on recently. They do not go real fast unless they are doing a "trick turn". We found the pace to be fun yet slower than expected. Just sit towards the middle. He or she will enjoy it!
While they have pricing for children, the boats are quite fast. There is definitely a "thrill component" as the Captain's speed, drift and spin the boats in full circles. The swamp buggy tour would be more appropriate and you still get to see all the Everglades have to offer!
