Try the bay instead. Great fishing for sheepshead.
Yes you can catch snook reds tarpon Jack's. All depends on day and season.
Docks at night, surf at dawn. Snook.
Better to fish at the old rail road tressle that is now a fishing pier. You can catch sheep's head, grouper, pompano, sting rays, snapper and much more.
Surf fished on Boca 12yrs & always catch fish on incoming tide so be sure to check tide chart. Slack tide gets boring. Flounder, mackerel, snook, bluefish, sheepshead, grouper, ladyfish ( we cut &use for bait), black drum, redfish, shark, permit & pompano species we consistently catch. We dig sand fleas- good bait as are jigs w/shrimp. Don't drag a bunch of stuff, just rods, small tackle box, fresh bait, sand rod holders to give yourself a break & keep gear out of sand. Something to sit on. Actively fish -don't expect a rod holder to fish for you. We fish near rocks/old phosphate piers. Wear plenty of sunscreen & wash it off your hands. Use strong leader & good line. Last time we were there I caught a 42" snook & hubs caught a big red. We release all but permit/pompano. DNR guys are pretty vigilant so make sure u have current license, know your slot sizes & don't keep live shells. Have good time! P.S. Bring cash to go over the bridge.
Yes.very good.snook at the pass. seasonal
Lots of fish, right now whiting are biting
Fishing is great, but not a ton of room for casting. Bring something compact yet strong enough to handle a good sized fish!
This info is very helpful to me,l thank everyone who took the time to respond
I think it depends on the day. I've seen people catch fish but because I'm new to the area, not sure what they were. Sorry I couldn't help you much. I love going to the beach there.
