Why are there no boats on clear Lake? I mean i have a full view of the larger section of the Lake and there been maybe 2 power boats both launched from where I am staying. There seem to be docks that ring the entire Lake but they are empty.

Mid week is the best time on the lake. No boats, no boat wakes, smooth water. We only boat during the week at clearlake. Weekends lots of boats lots of boat wakes rougher water. Also most tend to stay in the coves as the big areas get rough with even a little wind. Some of Clearlake coves can as a big as a small lake and are very nice for skiing. Fishing contest days and weekends are busy. Other days are very very nice. You can have the entire lake to yourself.

Many of the people just put their boats in on the weekends depending on when the pictures from Google Earth we're taken my guess is it was a weekday.

I take my boat out every weekend. Week days people are mostly at work, and the lake is huge. If you want to see a bunch of boats all at once go out on July 3rd to 5th
