Hi Dexter, this is Dr. Mitchell. Yes, Subutex is usually cheaper. Most patients are kept on Suboxone until the can pass their first drug test. After they do, they can choose between either Suboxone or Subutex. Exceptions to this are patients who have a documented medical history of allergic reaction to Suboxone (medical records required) and pregnant patients who are started immediately on Subutex. Hey guys, I have been a patient of Dr Mitchell's for a few years, great guy, really care's. Generic buprenorphine is by far the most affordable and using Good RX will save you big $$$, I pay about 2 bucks pp, I wish I was near a Costco where it's under 1 buck pp.
