It best if you back up your phone data to the cloud before you go. This way they start the restore and you can leave and just wait for the data to restore over time. This will insure it restored correctly and eliminate a return visit.
Yes, I just went through this myself. They offered a trade in for my current phone and helped me transfer my data to the new phone. Beware, it can take some time to transfer.
