Dont no of any place you can try the ones you buy but there are a few place you can rent guns to try similar to what your buying. Try classic pistol or ready aim fire. Dont belive you can actually try a new one though because if you shoot it an decide not to buy it it is now a used gun.
You could join a gun club. Most guys are willing to let you see how great their favorite guns are to shoot..
Delaware Valley Sports Center rents pistols also. NE Philly.
Classic pistol, Claytons, Target World all rent guns to shoot. Never able to shoot the gun before you buy.
Gardian training center has just about every make and model for rent
Guardian training center in warminster rents guns. Many 9mm versions are included in their living social or Groupon offers. It is indoor and about 10 minutes from Tanner's
The only ranges I know that rent pistols are either Target World in Chalfont where Clayton's in Willow Grove.
