If you take the time to look at majority of the spots along the way - it was roughly 1 hr 30m. Can easily become 2 hrs or more if you take pictures, feed fish/turtles, eat at the food spot before/after.
2 hours walking slowly
It takes a half hour to an hour to walk through the gardens themselves but I would say 3 hrs to really experience everything. There are art exhibits and sometimes films running at the theater. A tea ceremony can be about an hour. If you eat at the restaurant add another half hour. 3 to 3 1/2 hours
2-3 hrs depend on how and on what you are spending your time.
If you love horticulture the tour will take as long as you like , enjoy a drink and snack , feed koi , contemplate the ponds the sound of water is quite soothing. Just to walk the garden is about 2 hours.
I would say like 2 hours if you really want to take in the whole experience. We walked about 2.5 miles.
Easy 2 hours.
