Section 8 for Miami Dade is currently close. You can check online for surrounding areas to see if there list is open. Or you can call the Homeless Trust for assistance.
Are you by yourself because a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms is a bit much for one person. I have section 8 in another state and they take forever. You’re better off just getting a one bedroom with one bathroom for cheap instead of waiting for the waitlist to open. Once they do open, it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll receive section 8 right away. Many people wait years for section 8. You can go to a shelter. That way you have a place to live and you’re working so it’ll help you save up while also providing food, and a roof over your head
