Jackson is a controversial subject. Like anyone both good and bad. As an empire builder for USA a good guy if you like Imperialism. A bad guy when it comes to being nice to indigenous peoples and slaves. A good guy if you like the idea of resisting the central banks and preventing the banks from running the country. He was a hard drinking, lets have a duel and I will kill you kind of guy. Probably resisting the international banking cartels was his best redeeming quality if you think USA should mint and control its own currency backed by precious metals.
