If I'm forced to use your self checkout, I should be compensated for doing the job of the cashier and bagger you're avoiding to employ and pay in the process.

This might be a generational thing. I, along with a great majority of Millennials/Gen-Z, prefer self-checkouts. In fact, if my anecdotal conversations with peers mean anything, we actively avoid supermarkets without them.

I agree there should be like a self checkout discount given at every place that has a self checkout register because it is saving the store at least (7.50) minimum wage it's not a matter of convieance for us to go through the self checkout it's a matter of not enough employees to be able to checkout in a timely manner.
