There are teachers in person. This is a school for the students to get hands-on practice. There are multiple "educator checks" throughout your service to ensure that everything is done correctly.
Can confirm, recently went in for a dye job and the students completed a section then a teacher came and checked it. The teachers are indeed there just giving the students their chance to learn hands on.
