They each serve their own purpose. KP is primarily a launch point for tubes and kayaks. rainbow springs is more of a park like setting with a swim hole
Use the tubing entrance for rainbow springs. They will shuttle you to the start point and then you float back too the parking lot. The float from kp is too long in my opinion since you can't bring even water on the river
Agreed with Tito. It's totally a personal preference.
