Maybe
Yes, from the Mayflower.
Interesting question; the pilgrims early writings made no reference to the rock. The rock wasn't regarded as anything special until 121 years after the pilgrims arrival. When Thomas Faunce heard they were building a wharf on the location he told everyone about a story he claimed his father told him about the rock (his father arrived in Plymouth 2 years after pilgrims). So, it's really dubious, and there is more evidence that they made first landfall closer to Cape Cod.
Yes... tied it up to the rock so it wouldn't float away.
Yes
That's true
Yes, according to official records in Plymouth, Rhode Island. However, it's one of the 2 places. Many believe they landed. There is evidence they may have landed closer to Cape Cod. Not a far distance from this place. Native Americans were already here.. Before they landed. For those who think it's in Massachusetts. It's not. Rhode Island is its own state. Next to Massachusetts. Cape Cod is the island that is part of Massachusetts.
