FIV cannot be passed to humans in any way or under any circumstance. Like HIV in humans FIV is an immune deficiency disease effecting only felines. It is not easily contracted, but transmitted via bloody bites. Generally intact males (Tom cats) are most likely to be FIV+ because of fights over kitty tail and/or territory, but females can test positive too. There is not any treatment available,, but FIV+ cats can live a long life, and with others too because it is not contagious. However there are still unknown factors and spay or neuter is easiest way to prevent it, along with keeping cats inside, safe from outside dangers.
No, it only affects felines.
